A computer the agent can inhabit across sessions, with a real filesystem, running processes, and state that survives. Not a function that spins up, executes, and disappears. Mac Minis and dedicated environments are early signals of what the market is buying because cloud abstractions removed the machine.

Has MCP solved the agent infrastructure problem?

Accepted Answer

MCP standardized how developers connect tools to agents. It did not solve discovery, identity, or payments at runtime. Agents still rely on humans to find services, configure connections, and handle billing. The integration problem moved. The infrastructure problem remains.
